Good Questions
What is an EDM wedding DJ?
An EDM wedding DJ mixes electronic dance music live at your reception: house, techno, bass and trance on festival-grade sound and production, with every formality still handled. Think a headline set built around your love story, with real mixing, real drops, lasers and CO2. That's DJ Steve: club-bred mixing plus full festival production, scaled to a wedding.
How much does an EDM wedding DJ cost?
DFW reception packages typically start at $5,000, $7,500 and $10,000 depending on guest count and production scale, all for up to 4 hours, reception only. Getting married outside DFW? We travel anywhere in Texas: your package plus travel, quoted for your venue and distance. Every event is quoted custom, so tell us your date and vision and we'll build your proposal.
Will it be too much for our older guests?
Dinner and cocktail hour stay elegant and conversational, and the festival starts when the floor is ready for it. A dedicated audio engineer manages volume zones all night, so the dance floor thumps while the tables can still talk.
Are the lasers, CO2 and cryo safe for our venue?
Yes. Every effect is run by a dedicated engineer, and we coordinate directly with your venue on power, rigging, haze policies and approvals before load-in. Venues love us because every part of the show is planned and approved in advance.
Can you mix non-EDM too?
Absolutely. Steve is open format at heart: hip-hop, pop, throwbacks, Latin, whatever your crowd needs, mixed in with club-level transitions and built back up to the rave.
Can our wedding actually feel like a rave?
That's the whole point. BassBoss sound, moving heads, lasers, haze and CO2: the same production language as the festivals you've raved at, aimed at your dance floor. Ceremony and dinner stay elegant; then, when the floor is ready, the reception flips into peak-hour festival energy and stays there.
Do you MC and handle announcements?
Yes. Grand entrance, toasts, cake cutting, send-off: every formality is announced and coordinated with your planner on a shared timeline. Steve brings festival-host energy to the mic, and the second the formalities are done the music takes over again.
How far in advance should we book?
The calendar fills furthest out for spring and fall Saturdays, and most couples lock their date around a year ahead. There's one DJ Steve and one rig, so if your date is on the radar, checking it is free and a deposit holds your date.
What do you need from our venue?
Standard power and a load-in window. We advance everything else directly with your venue: space, rigging, haze and laser policies, CO2 approvals, and certificates of insurance on request. Your coordinator gets a production contact from day one, and your only job is to enjoy the party.
Where in Texas do you DJ weddings?
Everywhere. Based in Dallas-Fort Worth, traveling to weddings across Texas: Austin, Houston, San Antonio, the Hill Country, Galveston and the Gulf Coast, West Texas, with the full rig and crew every time. Out-of-town events are quoted as your package plus travel.
